Many Kung Fu schools can be seen when travelling by road from Deng Feng to the Shaolin Temple; the smaller ones in the city itself and the larger ones fronting the main road. The smaller Kung Fu schools may cater for 50 pupils, but the larger schools cater for thousands. The Shi Xiao Long Martial Arts Academy is one of these.

Travelling to the Shaolin Temple site entrance by minibus takes about 15 minutes, but there are plenty of taxies available in Dengfeng. At the park entrance you either walk to the Shaolin Temple or take an electric shuttle-bus.
